Roughan & O’Donovan AECOM Alliance (ROD-A) were appointed by Mayo County Council, in conjunction with Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) to progress the N58 Transport Project from Feasibility and Concept (Phase 1) through to completion of the Statutory Process (Phase 4) in accordance with the TII Project Management Guidelines (PMG’s).

The study area for the project extends from Straide, located to the south of Foxford, to the N26 road to the north of Foxford and it also encompasses Foxford Railway Station and N26 road to the west and east of Foxford respectively.

The N58 Foxford Transport Project seeks to improve opportunities to reduce the volume of strategic traffic passing through Foxford, thereby improving air and noise emissions associated with this traffic within the town. The project will also seek to provide opportunities to improve active travel facilities and connectivity within Foxford.
